OSHA 30 Hour Construction Outreach Courses
This course covers thirty (30) hours of training, required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA), that apply toward the 30-hour Construction Industry course completion card. The course is comprised of 25 sections, each either one or two hours in length, and covers topics pertaining to regulations covered by Standard 29. CFR 1926. The successful completion of this course will help meet the Construction Industry standards established by OSHA.
The 30-hour Construction Outreach Training Program is intended to provide a variety of training to workers with some safety responsibility. Workers must receive additional training on hazards specific to their job.  Training places emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not OSHA standards.  Instructional time is a minimum of 30 hours. OSHA subpart references are provided for informational purposes.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
  • Locate OSHA Standards references applicable to specific hazardous conditions and practices (Introduction to OSHA Standards)
  • Recognize the aspects of 1926 Subpart C (General Safety and Health Provisions)
  • Implement preventative measures for accidents in their workplace (Subpart D- Occupational health and Environmental Controls)
  • Describe types of personal protective equipment (PPE), and the requirements for use in OSHA standards (Subpart E- Personal Protective Equipment)
  • Understand the requirements for fire protection in the workplace (Subpart F- Fire Protection and Prevention)
  • Identify types of rigging equipment used to protect employees (Subpart H- Rigging; Subpart N- Cranes and Rigging)
  • Identify the critical health and safety hazards of welding and cutting in the construction industry (Subpart J- Welding and Cutting)
  • Identify common electrical hazards and related OSHA standards (Subpart K- Electrical Standards)
  • Understand the importance of scaffolding for workers in elevated workplaces (Subpart L- Scaffolding)
  • Implement measures for protecting workers and equipment from dangerous falls (Subpart M- Fall Protection)
  • Recognize the hazards associated with working in or around excavation sites (Subpart P- Excavations)
  • Understand the safety requirements necessary to protect workers around concrete and masonry jobs (Subpart Q- Concrete and Masonry)
  • Identify the precautions and hazards to protect workers using explosives or blasting agents (Subpart T- Demolition)
  • Protect workers who perform jobs on or around stairways or ladders at worksites (Subpart X - Stairways and Ladders)
  • List and describe the hazards and prevalence of confined spaces

OSHA - 30 Hour General Industry Outreach Training Program
The OSHA 30 Hour General Industry Outreach Training course is a comprehensive safety program designed for anyone involved in general industry. Specifically devised for safety directors, foremen, and field supervisors; the program provides complete information on OSHA compliance issues. OSHA recommends Outreach Training Programs as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1910. General industry workers must receive additional training, when required by OSHA standards, on specific hazards of the job. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an OSHA general industry safety and health 30-hour course completion card from the Department of Labor. Note: This online course has been reviewed and accepted by OSHA for online distribution. The 30-hour General Industry Outreach Training Program is intended to provide a variety of training to people with some safety responsibility. Workers must receive additional training on hazards specific to their job. COURSE PRE-REQUISITE:
The OSHA 30 Hour General Industry Outreach Training course does not have any pre-requisites; however, the OSHA 30 Hour General Industry Outreach training course or an equivalent of 30 hours of prior safety and health training plus 5 years of general industry safety and health experience is a prerequisite for the OSHA 501 Trainer course.

OSHA - 10 Hour & 30 Hour Construction Outreach Courses with 29 CFR 1926 Manual 
This package combines both the OSHA 10 Hour and the OSHA 30 Hour for Construction Outreach Training Courses and includes the 29 CFR 1926 Manual OSHA Standards for Construction. The first course (OSHA 10 Hour Construction Industry Outreach) covers ten (10) hours of modules, required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA) that apply toward 10-hour Construction Industry course completion DOL card. This module is comprised of 12 sections, covering topics pertaining to regulations covered by Standard 29 CFR 1926. The successful completion of this course will help to meet the Construction Industry standards established by OSHA.

OSHA recommends Outreach Training Program courses as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers. Workers must receive additional training, when required by OSHA standards, on the specific hazards of their job.

The second course (OSHA 30 Hour Construction Outreach)covers thirty (30) hours of modules, required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA), that apply towards the 30 Hour Construction Industry course completion DOL card. This module is comprised of 23 sections, the sections are either one or two hours in length, and covering topics pertaining to regulations covered by Standard 29 CFR 1926. The successful completion of this course will help to meet the Construction Industry standards established by OSHA. The 30 Construction Industry Outreach Course is NOT equivalent to the OSHA 510 or 511 courses and will not meet the course prerequisites to take the OSHA 500 or OSHA 501 courses.

You will be sent a copy of OSHA Standards for Construction (29 CFR 1926). The book will serve as an invaluable resource for referencing OSHA standards that have been covered in this course, as well as researching regulations or standards that could help in establishing a safer workplace.

When taking this course please be aware of the time limits on both your login session and the course itself. For your login session, please feel free to take as long as you wish at any given time, but be aware that if you remain idle (staying on the same page) for 15 minutes then you will be logged out of the session and you will have to log in and rejoin the course where stopped previously.

As for the course itself, please remember that you have six months from the time you start this course to complete it in order to receive credit. After six months, your account will expire and you will be required to purchase the course again if you wish to complete it.

At the end of each module, you will be given a 10 question module quiz. You must score at least 70% on each module quiz to move forward in the course. You will be given up to three opportunities to pass each module quiz. Failure to successfully pass the quiz will result in being locked out of the course and not allowed to continue with an online training format for your outreach training.

Once you have successfully completed all of the modules, you must pass a final exam to receive full credit for the course. The exam is 20 questions long and will test your knowledge on information covered throughout the course. You must make a score of at least 70% to pass this course. You will be given up to three opportunities to pass the final exam; if you do not pass it after three tries, you will be locked out of this course will no longer be able to take your outreach training in an online format.
